International Tiger Day - 29th July 2021 | History | Download Images, Pictures, Wishes, Quotes, and Wallpapers

World Tiger Day is celebrated every year on 29th July across the world. In view of the rapid reduction in the number of tigers in the last few years, World Tiger Day is celebrated for the purpose of tiger conservation. So that people develop an understanding of animal life.

According to the WWF, there are currently only three thousand tigers in the whole world, most of which are in India. There is a great need for the conservation of tigers in India.

In the Tiger Summit held in Russia in the year 2010, it was decided to celebrate World Tiger Day on 29 July every year, 13 nations were involved in this conference.

In this event, a target was set to double the number of tigers by the year 2022. Where there is a tiger, there are herbivores, the tiger is considered a symbol of the health of the forest. Many countries are working towards tiger conservation. Work is being done on the Tiger project in India too, but it needs to be done more quickly.

Due to deforestation and poaching, the life of tigers is under threat. The speed with which the number of tigers is decreasing. If this continues for some more time, then one day it will become tiger-free. The national animal of India is the tiger.

The tiger is considered a symbol of strength, elegance, alertness, intelligence, and patience. It is able to survive in almost all types of forests. In India, under the Wildlife Protection Act 1972, various schemes were made for the protection of tigers.

The establishment and proper operation of the Tiger Project is a big step towards tiger conservation. The Tiger Project campaign was started in India in the year 1973, at present, there are a total of 48 tiger parks in the country, for which the forest department is also vigilant for monitoring. There is a complete ban on hunting in tiger parks. The Bengali Tiger is one of the best tiger species found in India.

According to the results of the tiger census released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last year, the number of tigers in India has increased to 2,967, whereas in the 2008 census, 1,706 in the year 2010, and 2,226 in the 2014 census, the number of tigers was considered.

In these years, the number of tigers has registered an increase of about 6 percent, but with this good news, the bad news is that 750 tigers have died in the country between 2012 and 2019 and out of these, 168 died at the hands of poachers.

While 70 deaths were yet to be ascertained. Apart from these, 369 deaths have occurred due to natural causes like accidents, mutual fighting, old age, and hunger, etc.

The biggest truth of the world is death and it is necessary to die natural death of tigers or any other creature. If there is an unbalanced growth of the tiger, then it will end the breeds of carnivores, due to which the plant world will be imbalanced along with breaking the food chain.

Anyway, the existence of a tiger or carnivore alone is not possible.

Save the Tiger:

  • Spread the news and tell others how important this thing is. The advertisement should be given in every media.
  • The government should make people aware to save tigers. Educate the local people who live near the forests.
  • Hunting should be banned. Those who hunt tigers and wild animals should be punished.
  • If someone hunts a tiger, immediately inform the local police station and forest department.
